GRANDMA DELPHINE'S BUTTERMILK BREAD
My mom’s grandmother was of Irish descent, and she would make this bread for my mom and uncle when they were kids. They just called it buttermilk bread, but it’s more readily known as Irish Soda Bread and has been a part of Irish diets for around 200 hundred years. It became a part of our diet down in south Louisiana when we were kids! Raisins are usually added, but other fruits can be used to change it up a bit. It’s different, but it’s delicious!
