RICE AND GRAVY
This isn’t necessarily “Cajun”, but everyone in south Louisiana eats rice & gravy on a regular basis. It’s cheap, quick and easy to make. And it tastes great! You can use pretty much any type of meat, sirloin, flank, round steak, stew meat… it all works!
1 lb. Sirloin, stew meat or round steak
med. Onion
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
bacon grease or vegetable oil
garlic powder
kitchen bouquet
salt and pepper
3 c. cooked rice
