OKRA GUMBO
This is one of my comfort foods. Strictly speaking, it might not be a true gumbo, but it’s what we always called it growing up. I usually use stew meat in this recipe, but my mom often used sirloin. You can use what you have available. The vinegar at the end is the secret. It gives the gumbo the perfect flavor!
1 lb. bag okra
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
1 medium onion
garlic powder
white vinegar
beef bouillon cubes
salt
