Mashed Potatoes
 
You have to have mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving! It’s simple to make and I rarely have any left over, especially if I have a good batch of gravy!

Ingredients
  • 5 lb. bag of Russet potatoes
  • Milk
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions
  1. Peel the potatoes and quarter them.
  2. Place in a large pot of salted water and boil until the potatoes are soft and easily mashed.
  3. Drain and return to the pot.
  4. Add the butter and sour cream to the potatoes and begin to mash.
  5. Once the potatoes are mashed, begin stirring in milk until the potatoes are nice and creamy.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
